Title/Subject: Accelerated Reader Bulletin Board Submitted By: Ms. Kayla
Date: 9/18/2006 Grade: First
City: Santa Monica, CA Applicable for: First Grade - Sixth Grade
Idea:
If your school participates in the Accelerated Reader program, you'll love this idea! Cover your board with a yellow background (or another color you would prefer). Then run a "star" border along the outside. Cut out a basic rocket ship for each student. (I use a rectangle for the bottom of the ship and a triangle for the nosecone/top of the rocket. Write each student's name on a rocket. Everytime the student earns an AR point, he or she gets to put foil star on their rocket. The title of the board should read "Shoot for StARs!" Have fun!
