Creative Music and Song Ideas for the Elementary School Classroom

Title/Subject: Fun With Leaves Submitted By: Ms. Christie
Date: 10/15/2006 Grade: Third
City: Courtland, VA Applicable for: Pre-K
Idea:
This is a great, active song to get your class in the spirit of the fall season!

When the leaves are on the ground (point to floor)
Instead of on the trees (clasp hands over head)
I like to rake a pile of them (raking motion)
Way up to my knees (hands on knees)
I like to run and jump in them (jump once)
And kick them all around (kicking motion with foot)
I like the prickly feel of them
And the crickly, crackly sound (click fingernails)
